Welcome to season 2023/24 and some important pre-season information.
The committee has been meeting regularly during the off-season to ensure all is in readiness for the start of the season. This year there have been some significant changes with the introduction of PlayHQ to replace MyCricket. This email is to assist you in the registration process and to advise you of changes to club registration fees.
PlayHQ
The club has been busy with Cricket Victoria and the ECA on getting ready for the retirement of the MyCricket system and the move across to PlayHQ. Given NSW transitioned across last year, we expect fewer issues and it was nice of them to be guinea pigs! But what does it mean? A few brief points…
• Registrations will be done through PlayHQ – if you have used it when registering for basketball/AFL/Netball – you will know it is a smoother registration process.
• A fee of $22.50 will apply to all registrations and is in addition to club registration fees. This fee covers insurance and platform administration and is charged by Cricket Australia.
• All stats and playing history have been transferred across from MyCricket.
• Scoring will be done through the PlayHQ system. The ECA has asked clubs to eScore all games from this season…more on this prior to the season commencing
Registrations
In the past the club was able to register players however moving forward players will be responsible for registering themselves.
All players:
• must have their CricketID number (see attached guide on how to obtain your CricketID number – note this is NOT the same as your MyCricket ID) to be able to register.
• must register before their first game
• The registration process is very simple and I attach a couple of simple step by step guides to assist. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any difficulties with the process.
Club registration fees
Club registration fees were recently reviewed by the committee for the coming season.
Like everyone else, in recent years, we have experienced rising costs across the board and consequently we have made the difficult decision to increase club fees by $20 per player for season 2023/24
The registration fee is to be paid when you register.
Fees for 2023/24 will be as follows:

This season we have also introduced an option for senior players to pay subs in two instalments of $185 each. The first instalment will be due before round 1 and the second will be payable before play recommences after the mid-season break.
When registering in PlayHQ and paying the fee, you will need the following voucher codes depending on your payment option:

Players will need to be registered on PlayHQ before round 1 to be selected. If, for any reason, you are unable to pay the registration fee prior to the commencement of the season, please see either Jim, Toby, Joel or myself.
We strongly encourage you to take up the early bird offer and register as soon as you can so we are not doing last-minute registrations and we can go into round 1 well prepared.
