How You Can Help

Amateur sporting clubs such as Glen Iris Cricket Club run on two resources: volunteer time and cash.
The club has a lot of unavoidable expenses, but very little in the way of fixed income, so therefore a lot of volunteer time is spent trying to raise funds to keep the place running.

Umpire fees, ground lease fees, match balls, line marking paint, online applications, printing, cleaning, association fees, administration fees, coaching fees and event costs add up over the course of the season.

Our mission is to provide a place where people from the community can congregate to play or be involved in cricket – and the club needs to stay solvent in order to do that.

How you can help
There are multiple ways in which you can aid the club, some directly, some indirectly.

Home Loans
Take out or re-finance a loan with Community Bank – Inner East, part of the Bendigo/Adelaide Bank group. Every loan started or re-financed via the club sends a payment of $2,000 to the club.

Buy a Raffle Ticket

Running for most of the cricket season, the Toyota Good For Cricket Raffle provides much-needed funds to cricket clubs. The price of every ticket sold goes directly to the cricket club and there’s always some great prizes on offer.

Sponsor the Club
If you have a business and would like to advertise it via the club website, social media and/or club signage, please get in touch with someone from the committee about your requirements.

Leave a bequest
This is a value, either in dollar or percentage terms, that is nominated for the club to receive from your estate. It can be specified in multiple ways and anyone considering this pathway should engage legal advice on the process.

Bequests can be life-changing for the club and the members and provide financial stability for years or decades. The club would be deeply honoured and humbled if such a gift was provided.

If you do decide that this is a pathway you would like to take, the nature of the bequest is completely up to you, but it must specify “Glen Iris Cricket Club, Estella St, Glen Iris, Victoria, 3146 (ABN 90 316 926 553)” as the beneficiary to ensure the funds are properly transferred.
