Reporting of issues

We are a responsible cricket club, and we want to ensure that all safety concerns, hazards, and incidents at the club are reported promptly and effectively. This helps prevent injuries, maintain a safe environment, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

We ask you report any situation or event that could compromise safety, including:

● Injuries or near-misses
● Unsafe equipment (e.g. balls, bats, helmets, nets, bowling machines, sidearms)
● Poor or unsafe ground conditions (e.g. wet, uneven, or damaged surfaces)
● Unsafe behaviour by players, staff, or visitors
● Structural or facility hazards (e.g. nets, fences, pavilions, lighting)
● Environmental hazards (e.g. lightning, flooding, extreme heat)

Please report issues and suggestions to the club secretary, child protection officer, junior vice president, seniors vice president or president (see Contacts page for details).

All reporting will be treated confidentially, and members reporting issues in good faith will not face criticism, defensiveness or penalty. If you do raise an issue, or have a suggested safety improvement, then the more details that you can provide will help us.

This information could include:
● Date & time of the issue
● Location of hazard or incident
● Description of what happened
● Names of anyone involved or affected
● Immediate actions taken

We thank you for your help and vigilance in making Glen Iris Cricket Club a safe and enjoyable place to play cricket.
