ECA Awards 2025/26

In addition to the pennants for the 3rds and Sunday Turf 1sts, Glen Iris Cricket Club received some other recognition at the ECA Senior Presentation Night on the 17th of April.

Two of our 1st XI players, Ben Shields and Chris Thewlis were awarded positions in the Dunstan Shield Team of the Year.

Ben Shields‘ excellent season was also recognised with the Dunstan Shield Batting Award.

Mohammad Ali took out the B Turf Batting Award.

And, pleasingly for those of us whose contributions off-field are more noteworthy, the club was awarded Best Administered Club for the 2025/26 season.

Why the plaque says “Plaque” on it is anyone’s guess, but we appreciate the recognition all the same.
