The excitement is building for the start of the coming season. The committee have been hard at work throughout the winter and we are very much looking forward to seeing everyone out on the park playing and participating in this great game we love.
Some things to bring to your attention:
Player sponsors. This year, we are bringing back the format of senior player sponsorships. ALL senior players to please find an individual sponsor. We’re looking for $100 per player (as a player you then get $50 credit on merchandise). You’ll have your photo and sponsor logo up in the clubhouse. These sponsorships add very important income to the club and very much help the club to continually provide a great community experience for all.
The Centenary Ball – 9th December. Do book your tickets! Some great things being planned for the night so it should a fabulous evening. You can book tables of 10 or single/double tickets. Why not gather team mates/partners/friends and get tables together? We are looking to make this a very special event for all whether past player, current player and junior player’s families. It’s an event for everyone with a connection past and present with GICC, so do book!
Don’t forget to register via Play HQ – all players need to do this before round 1 to be selected to play. If you register before round one, you get the early bird discount. Any issues with payment or the process, do let me, Bill, Toby or Joel know. Register here.
The season launch event at Eric Raven. This will be held on SUNDAY 1st OCTOBER 2023 – starting at 4pm. Free BBQ, bar will be open and we will be distributing shirts, hats etc and balls/equipment for each junior team. This is a fabulous event for all club members, seniors and juniors.
I am very keen that as a club we share the load as much as we can. Your committee is passionate about making great things happen – so joining us at The Centenary Ball, the season launch and bringing valuable individual and team sponsorship income is a really important part of making this club what it is today.
