New GICC President & Committee

Monday’s Annual General Meeting of the Glen Iris Cricket Club, the following members, were elected unopposed to the Executive of the Glen Iris Cricket Club:

President: Jim Parry
Vice-President: Toby Tribe
Secretary: Bill Heath
Treasurer: Joel Silver
Junior Chairman: Tas Tudor

Jim comes in to the role of President after commencing at the club in 2009, playing 138 games since debut and starring in an on field role, playing in two premierships for the club, including last years 3rd XI flag. Off field, he served as admirably in 2020/21 as the club’s COVID Manager, which saw him duly awarded the Bill Hutchinson / Phil O’Rourke Best Clubperson for that season. We welcome Jim to the role and wish him well for the season.

Joel, for his part, steps into the Treasurer’s role, after years of valuable experience as President and Treasurer at the South Camberwell Cricket Club. After two years with Glen Iris, which also includes last year’s 3rd XI flag, Joel has put his hand up to add his skills to the club in the position of Treasurer.

We particularly congratulate Jim and Joel on their elevation to the Executive as the club continues to navigate our post-COVID journey.

Additionally, Geoff Rixon has joined a scaled down committee for this season, by taking on the role of our Risk Management Co-Ordinator and Matthew Saunders has also joined to impart his skills in the role of Communications Manager. Scott Rankin continues on the committee to drive our Social calendar, while Andrew Stolzenberg takes on the role of Bar Manager for season 2023/24.
