Junior Registrations Now Open for 2021/22

Written by: superadmin

Hi GI Family,
We hope everyone is keeping safe and well.  A few pieces of information for everyone as we are sure there are plenty of keen cricketers chomping at the bit to get out there in October.

Registration for 2021/22 is now OPEN!.  The link to register is via the following link: 2021/22 Registration

Last season was a great year at GICC, and we believe we led the way on numerous junior and Club wide improvements in a difficult COVID environment. We are in a fortunate position and we continue to have some of the lowest subscriptions in the Inner-Eastern suburbs, yet provide a junior program that is second to none in the area.  As always our Club philosophy is simple, junior cricket is all about:

•        Creating a positive & encouraging environment
•        Players to learn and develop their cricket skills
•        Enjoying the game of cricket
•        Place sportsmanship above winning at all costs.

Information, Policies and Procedures
You will also note the updated 2021/22 junior information, policies and procedures.  Please take the time to carefully ready as it is full of information for the upcoming season. These are listed on the Club website and are included as an attachment.  Any COVID policies will be communicated after receiving further information from the relevant stakeholders closer to the season.

Last season we were fortunate to be able to provide a one-off COVID discount on the back of 3 seasons without putting up the rates.  While we have increased the subscriptions from last season, we have been able to maintain the rate at $260.00 per child (plus $5.00 Cricket Australia Insurance charge).  Even better, you will note we have brought back the EARLY BIRD DISCOUNT ($25.00) until 17 August 2021.  Shirts and caps are again additional options.

Over the last two seasons, we have noticed a dramatic increase in players playing 2 or 3 games a weekend.  To assist with the extra costs of running a team, we have introduced a $50.00 levy to help us meet the extra costs, such as balls, umpires, ground charges etc.

Please remember to register early, not only for the discount, but it helps us plan for the season, so we can avoid the “mad rush”!
Note: There sometimes are some issues when going through the Mycricket system when trying to register on iPhones and some types of email addresses.  If you encounter this problem, please try on a web browser, and if that doesn’t work please contact us at [email protected].

Junior and Master Blasters

Sessions will again be at Eric Raven on a Friday night from 4.30 pm to 6.00 pm.  We are planning on starting on Friday 22nd at this stage.

All-Girls Cricket
Last year was an amazing year for the girls.  This year we want to go from strength to strength and get at least 3 teams!  This a key pillar of our growth strategy for coming years.  So if you have some keen and enthusiastic players who would like to give it a try, feel free to invite them along.

Further information & Invite your friends! Spread the word!
We encourage you to invite your friends along to try the great game of cricket.  If you or any new players require any information, please feel free to reach out to Tas Tudor ([email protected] or 0439 635 071).
Thanks – Tas, Kirsten, Shane, Nigel
